District crews are currently working on a main break in Reems Creek. Customers in the Reems Creek, Sherwood Heights and Greystone Road area may experience loss of flow and/or pressure. This site will be updated as more information is available.

There will be some limited hydrant testing in West Buncombe on Tuesday, Oct. 23, 2018 from 10 AM to 12 PM. Customers in higher elevation areas of West Buncombe may notice loss of pressure or water flow during this time. All testing should be complete by 12 PM. 

The District is currently experiencing phone difficulty due to a cable outage. Pay by phone and other emergency service is still available by calling our office at 828-253-5551. All other requests can be handled here through the website. 

District crews are repairing contractor damage on the District's main water feed. Customers in Beaver Lake, Lookout Road, Elk Mountain Riad, Washington Avenue, and many other areas may notice loss of water flow and/or pressure while repairs are being made.

The District recommends that customers take reasonable precautions to prepare for Hurricane Florence. Customers may want to store some extra water in their refrigerators for drinking in case of water line breaks or washouts related to the storm.

There will be a planned water outage for the top of Leisure Mountain on Thursday, September 6, 2018. This outage will affect customers in the Foxfire Development only and is expected to last for several hours as final connections for the new water main are completed. 

There is a power outage at the office and in the Woodfin & Asheville area. Emergency service is still available at 828-253-5551. Please do not call our emergency number for anything other than a water emergency.

The water outage in the Baird Cove Road area has been resolved. 

Some customers in the Erwin Hills/Olivette Road area may experience lower than normal water pressure. District personnel are reviewing the issue and more information will be posted on this site as it becomes available.

The planned outage for the Sherwood Heights area is concluded.
