The area is currently experiencing a local phone outage through the phone provider. Customers with a water emergency may phone 258-4724. This will take the caller to our after hours answering service; they cannot answer general billing or other questions.
There will be a planned water outage for the Audubon Drive area on June 3, 2013. This outage will begin at 11 PM and continue until 6 AM. Customers in the upper Laurel Terrace, Audubon Drive and Running Ridge areas may be affected. Service should be restored by 6 AM.
District offices will be closed on Monday, May 27th for Memorial Day weekend. Payments can be made online or by phone, and emergencies will be directed to our after-hours service. We hope all of our customers have a happy and safe holiday weekend!
Due to heavy storms, the District phone system is temporarily disabled. Customers with billing or other questions may come by our office. Emergencies can still be reported by calling the office number; our after hours center will take your information and get in touch with appropriate staff.
4 PM: The water outage affecting the upper levels of Audubon Drive and Laurel Terrace has been resolved and service has been restored.
There will be a water outage beginning at Noon on May 22nd, 2013 to make a water line repair. Areas affected include the upper parts of Audubon Drive, Running Ridge, and Laurel Terrace. It is expected that this outage will last several hours.
The Weaverville Fire Department will be flow testing hydrants in the Weaverville area during the week of May 6-10 and 13-17, weather permitting.
April 30, 2013: The sewage spill that occurred at MSD earlier today into the French Broad River has no effect on Woodfin Water District customers. The District's water source is at the headwaters of Reems Creek, near the Blue Ridge Parkway, and the District owns the entire watershed.
District Distribution crews are installing a new 6" connector on Elmwood Place. Customers and area residents are asked to drive with caution in this area as improvements to the system are made.
11:10 PM: District crews have repaired the service line break on Sunny Ridge Drive and water has been restored.
