The Weaverville Fire Department will be conducting hydrant testing on Wednesday, August 7 and Thursday, August 8, 2019. Testing will be in the Woodland Hills area. Customers in these areas may experience periods of low pressure or temporary water loss as well as discolored water while hydrants are being tested. Areas affected include Pinebrook Farms, Country Creek, New Stock Road, Fox Chase, Briarwood, Marlwood, Aiken, Highlander, Knoll Ridge, Leisure Mountain, Old Home, and roads connecting in this area. Water is safe to drink but caution should be used before washing white laundry as hyrant testing can increase water discoloration.
